The car was first launched in 2009 and is the only Ferrari to offer a hard top cabriolet roof. It is the “cheapest” car that Ferrari produce with a sale figure of £177000 and was designed to entice in first time Ferrari buyers and those that may be looking at the Ferrari 430. The model however is not the first time the California name has been used. In the 1950’s Ferrari had the 250 GT Spyder California and then in 1963 the 365 California, both of these now seen a cult classics changing hands for well into the millions.
